On Saturday, 21st June 2025, step into the past as Heritage Malta presents Museums by Candlelight—a spellbinding evening where history, art, and music come alive under the soft glow of candlelight. For just €5, visitors can explore five historic sites in Valletta, all open from 7:00 pm to midnight, with live performances, atmospheric lighting, and rare evening access to Malta’s cultural treasures.
This edition marks the first time the event will take place in Valletta, transforming Malta’s capital city into a glowing tribute to its rich heritage.

🏛️ The National Museum of Archaeology
Located in the Auberge de Provence, this museum showcases artefacts from Malta’s prehistoric and classical periods, including the Sleeping Lady, Venus of Malta, and the spectacular Gran Salon.

Recently restored and open to the public, this architectural masterpiece has stood for over 450 years. Highlights include the first-ever display of the historical state carriage, a symbol of Malta’s regal past.
🖼️ MUŻA – The National Community Art Museum
