The Embassy Valletta Hotel strengthens its commitment to Malta’s heritage through collaboration with Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna

The Embassy Valletta Hotel is pleased to announce a three-year collaboration with Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna, supporting the organisation’s work in preserving and promoting Malta’s historic heritage.

At the heart of the collaboration are the Lascaris War Rooms, one of Valletta’s most significant historic sites. Located deep beneath the capital, the underground complex played an important role during the Second World War, serving as a highly protected command headquarters from which the defence of Malta and military operations in the Mediterranean were coordinated. Managed by Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna, the site forms part of the organisation’s wider efforts to preserve Malta’s military and historic heritage and make it accessible to present and future generations.

Through the collaboration, The Embassy Valletta Hotel will contribute towards the development and enhancement of Wi-Fi services at the Lascaris War Rooms, helping Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna further improve the experience offered to visitors. The partnership will run for three years.

Hubert Debono, General Manager at The Embassy Valletta Hotel, said: “We are very pleased to support Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna and the valuable work it carries out in preserving Malta’s heritage. The Lascaris War Rooms are an important part of Valletta’s history, and we are proud to help enhance the experience of those who visit the site. As a hotel rooted in the heart of Valletta, supporting our heritage and community is an important part of our wider commitments.”

Through partnerships such as this, The Embassy Valletta Hotel continues to support initiatives that help protect Malta’s heritage while strengthening the connection between tourism, the local community and the history that makes Valletta a unique destination.
