The Three Cities

Nestled on the eastern side of Malta’s Grand Harbour, the Three Cities – Birgu, Senglea, and Cospicua – beckon with a rich tapestry of history and charm. These ancient cities offer a captivating blend of architectural beauty, maritime heritage, and centuries-old stories waiting to be discovered.

Each city has its own character: Birgu boasts the mighty Fort St. Angelo, a sentinel of Maltese history; Senglea captivates with its waterfront vistas and historic architecture; Cospicua’s winding alleys hold tales of resilience and revival.

The Three Cities played pivotal roles in Malta’s past, from the era of the Knights of St. John to World War II. These cities have witnessed triumphs and trials, and their narrow streets echo with the footsteps of generations. Today, they offer a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in Malta’s captivating history while savoring local cuisine, strolling along the marina, and unraveling ancient stories.
